Frequently Asked Questions?
Question: How can I start a relationship with Christ?
1) Realize that God loves you. The Bible tells us in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”.
2) Recognize that although God loves you, your heart tends to run from and rebel against Him. The Bible calls this sin. Romans 3:23 says, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”.
3) Yet, God does love you and He wants to save you from sin and death. He offers you a new life of hope. John 10:10 says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full”.
4) To give you this gift of life and salvation, God made a way through His Son, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:8 tells us, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
5) You can receive this gift by faith alone. Ephesians 2:8 says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God”.
If you are choosing right now to believe Jesus died for your sins and to receive new life by beginning a relationship with Him, pray a prayer similar to this: “Dear God, I know You love me. But I also know I am a sinner. I believe Jesus died to forgive me of my sins. I now accept You and Your gift of eternal life. Thank You for forgiving me of ALL my sin. Thank You for my new life from this day forward. I choose to follow You.
